Beautiful Scenes in Otherwise Forgettable Movies

Cameron Crowe’s Aloha (2015) was a convoluted mess of a movie, it was disjointed, bizarre and even cringeworthy at times but Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone, Rachel McAdams and newcomer Danielle Rose Russell all gave solid performances.

One scene in particular, toward the end of the film literally brought me to tears. Bradley Cooper’s character (Brian) finally decides to let Russel’s character (Grace) know he’s her real father. In the scene Brian comes to Grace’s Hawaiian dance class, there was no dialogue just raw, emotive acting, I still cry when I see it.

Black Mirror is one of the most thought provoking shows I’ve ever seen

Black Mirror, if you’re not watching this you’re going to regret not seeing it sooner. The episode in the video below (San Junipero) was the single best episode of any series I’ve ever seen. It was sweet, sad, funny and elating all at once.

The entire show is great but so far San Junipero (season 3 episode 4) stands head and shoulders above the rest and that’s saying a lot. I can’t wait for season 4!
